A pizza craving is a real craving that needs to be dealt with immediately! Even in the middle of a heat wave mid July. But the struggle is real; do you turn the oven on and heat up your suite to 1000 degrees? Do you order in? Or do you go to the local pizza joint? Why not make your own on the BBQ with a nice cold beer (or glass of wine) in hand.

Making pizza on the BBQ is easy and fun and can be turned into a giant Build Your own Pizza Party if you would like. K and I did it together, and sat in the back yard with some wine and played an intense game of checkers.

Here is how we put our pizzas together:

Pizza Dough:

7g Yeast

325 ml water

400 Grams and a bit more for dusting Flour

Salt

Oregano

Olive oil.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and kneed until all mixed together. Spilt the dough into two or three pieces and cover with a damp towel to let the dough rise.

While the dough is rising, prep your toppings and your grill.

Any toppings you would like. I chose: Capicola, tomatoes, basil, red onion and ricotta cheese. Kodi Chose: Grilled Chicken, red onions, banana peppers, ricotta and BBQ sauce.

To make sure your pizza dough does not stick on the grill, make sure you heat up the grill as hot as it can get to burn off any residue and brush with olive oil.

If it does stick carefully use a spatula to flip the dough. Grill one side of the dough, flip it over and while the other side is grilling, create your pizza with all your toppings. Let it sit till the cheese melts
