I love kale. And I love Salt and Vinegar. So why not put them together? I will be honest, I don’t LOVE raw kale. It has to be cooked or coated in something or blended with a bunch of fruit, but I love kale chips! It is a healthy alternative to my fav potato chips ( Starbucks salt and vinegar chips) it is quick, and it does not last very long on my kitchen counter.  I did not put the amounts for the ingredients because it is all by taste. As my family would know, I LOVE VINEGAR so my amount of vinegar may not be what you like. Test it out!

Kale Picked Fresh from my Garden

Ingredients:

a bunch of kale

olive oil

Apple Cider Vinegar ( I used Braggs)

Sea Salt

Kale Chips!
Kale Chips right before the oven, I got too excited to take a finished picture!

Method:

Wash and Dry the kale leaves, carefully rip the leaves removing the steam. Keep the pieces pretty big as they do shrink when you cook them.  In a bowl drizzle some olive oil and your desired amount of vinegar, using your hands, mix it all together and massage. It sounds weird, but it is important to massage the leaves to get all the vinegar and oil soaked in. Sprinkle with sea salt and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Turn the oven to 350, put the kale into the oven as the oven heats up, (I do this to lessen the time the oven is on during the summer) and let the kale bake until it is nice and crispy. Remove, let cool, and serve right away. To save for later store in a sealed container.

ENJOY!!
